Olimpiyatköy Metro Depot – DEMYKS Underfloor Train Lifting System
At the Olimpiyatköy Metro Depot, the maintenance base of the M3 Kirazlı–Olimpiyatköy–Başakşehir metro line, BM Makina commissioned the DEMYKS underfloor train lifting system — applied for the first time in Türkiye. Located within an approximately 70,000 m² depot area and a 10,000 m² covered workshop, the system lifts 4-car metro train sets completely and synchronously off the ground. The jack columns, working flush with the workshop floor, remain fully at floor level when not in use, creating no obstacle in the working area; when maintenance is due, they lift the entire train set upward with high precision at a single command.
The DEMYKS jacks provide the highest level of safety with PLC-controlled synchronous drives, load/position sensors and mechanical locking systems. Thanks to the integrated operation of the bogie and body lifting points on the same line, it is possible either to access the underside of the whole train or to remove the bogie of just a specific wagon.
