OUR MILESTONES

The story of BM Makina milestones begins in 1999 at Istanbul Perpa, where the company was founded and took on the Turkish representation of VAHLE and LIFTKET. From day one, its vision built on quality, reliability and engineering quickly made it a recognized name in the industry. With its expertise in energy transmission systems and lifting equipment, BM Makina made a strong entry into the Turkish market.

Recorded as BM Makina’s first trade fair participation, this step was an important milestone for corporate communication and market reach. Being at the fair played a decisive role in presenting our products to the right audience, answering technical questions on site and making first contact with potential customers. TATEF 2000 marks the beginning of the period in which our brand became more visible in the industry.

In response to growing customer demand and business volume, BM Makina started production at the DES Industrial Estate in Dudullu OSB in 2002. The transition from representative to manufacturer became one of the most critical turning points in the brand’s growth journey. From this date on, BM Makina expanded its domestic production capability and began offering more comprehensive industrial solutions.

In 2003, BM Makina became the first and only manufacturer of BKB Light Crane Systems in Türkiye. This innovative step strengthened the company’s leadership while demonstrating the capability of domestic engineering. With its light crane solutions, BM Makina brought modern, reliable and efficient material handling to factories, production facilities and industrial plants.

BM Makina took on the Turkish representation of Kumbruch GmbH (Germany), a brand of railway maintenance equipment.

2009 marks the period in which BM Makina raised its technical production capacity to the next level. KATO Motorized Cable Reeling Drums — the first and only professional production of their kind in Türkiye — set a new industry standard with safe, efficient and durable energy transmission. Optimizing power delivery on mobile machinery, this product demonstrated BM Makina’s capacity for innovation.

In 2011, BM Makina began producing DEMYKS wagon lifting jacks, taking its engineering capability yet another step forward.

With rising production volume and a diversifying product range, the company moved into its modern factory in the Gebze Güzeller Organized Industrial Zone. Beyond increasing capacity, the new facility gave BM Makina a stronger technological infrastructure.

The E-RTG projects that started with Mardaş Container Terminal in 2012 continued at major facilities such as Gemport, Kumport and Borusan Port, proving BM Makina’s strength in ports. In the same period, BM Makina manufactured the steel structures used in all of VAHLE’s E-RTG projects worldwide. These collaborations started an export journey to countries including Mexico, Panama, India, Norway, the United Kingdom and the United States.

In 2014, BM Makina manufactured Türkiye’s first domestic underfloor wagon lifting system, achieving a significant first in railway equipment. This development stands as a critical milestone showing how far domestic engineering capability had come.

Within the E-RTG project of Asyaport in Tekirdağ, all conductor rail systems and steel structures were successfully delivered by BM Makina. The project demonstrated the company’s competence in large-scale port projects.

For the first time in Türkiye, a boom-mounted shipboard cable reeling drum was produced for port handling machinery. The system collects the power cable of mobile machines neatly and safely, contributing to operational efficiency and continuity.

The DEMYKS train lifting systems used at the Metro Istanbul M5 Line Ümraniye maintenance workshop were commissioned turnkey by BM Makina. Integrating mobile and underfloor jack systems, the project became a key reference by delivering a safe, efficient and flexible solution for rail vehicle maintenance.

BM Makina supplied the conductor rail systems used throughout the halls of the Tosyalı Iron & Steel Plant in İskenderun Sarıseki. The project once again confirmed its expertise in high-capacity energy transmission for heavy industry.

As VAHLE’s representative in Türkiye, BM Makina successfully supplied the data and energy transmission systems for a new production line at the Ford Otomotiv plant. With this project, BM Makina reinforced its position by delivering integrated, reliable and sustainable solutions for high-precision automotive production.

With steady corporate continuity and growth, we reached our 25th year…

BM Makina successfully delivered VKS compact conductor systems for the production lines installed at Vestel facilities. Combining energy and data transmission in a single system, the solution provided an efficient, uninterrupted and reliable infrastructure.
