KATO cable reels wind and unwind the power or data cable that follows a moving machine, keeping tension under control and protecting the cable. The range is built around two drive principles: the motorized cable reel (MKT series, also referred to as a motor driven cable reel) and the spring cable reel (YKT series).
MKT reeling drums are available as single layer, double layer, wide winding and level wind versions for long travel distances and higher speeds. YKT spring-driven reels need no power supply and offer an economical solution for short and medium travel.
Complemented by cable guides and feed guides, KATO reels serve port equipment, cranes, shipyards, mining and cement plants. Every drum is calculated for the specific cable cross-section, travel length and speed, and manufactured at our facility in Gebze, Türkiye.
