Positioning systems continuously measure where a vehicle or carrier stands along its track. Millimetre-accurate positioning on automated conveyors, storage vehicles and crane runways depends on this measurement.
The VAHLE APOS family offers three measuring principles. Contactless magnetic systems need no mechanical contact, so they neither wear nor require maintenance. Magnetic tape systems read absolute position from a robust measuring tape and stay reliable in dusty, demanding environments. Optical systems deliver the high resolution required by Industry 4.0 lines.
