DOF Robotics Production Line Ergonomics Project: BKB Light Crane System

BM Makina installed a BKB light bridge crane system on DOF Robotics’ production line to move heavy, bulky parts safely, quickly and ergonomically. Within the project, modular C-section BKB profiles, low-friction trolley mechanisms and electric chain hoist (LIFTKET) solutions matched to production needs were integrated so that loads can be positioned precisely over a wide working area on the X–Y axes.

The system was commissioned with a fast-installation approach — ceiling-suspended mounting or, where needed, special support structures — and during commissioning the mechanical movement, electrical connections and safety components (stops, limit controls, emergency stop, etc.) were tested. Integrated into DOF Robotics’ existing production flow with minimal intervention, the solution reduces the physical effort operators spend on part handling and assembly while directly contributing to occupational safety and production continuity.

Thanks to the installed BKB system, operators can quickly reach different stations along the line without being tied to a single point, making part-handling processes smoother. This both improves assembly cycle times and reduces the ergonomic risks of repetitive heavy lifting. As a result, the project delivered a strong improvement along the efficiency + ergonomics + safety axis, in line with DOF Robotics’ growing production-capacity goals.
