BSH Çerkezköy Factory – CPS Contactless Power Transmission System

As the Türkiye representative of the German company VAHLE, BM Makina modernized the production lines at the BSH Çerkezköy factory with the CPS (Contactless Power Supply) contactless power transmission system. In the project commissioned in 2019, a magnetic field is generated via a primary cable laid in the floor along the assembly line; the carrier carts moving over this line receive power completely wirelessly through the pickup coils positioned beneath them. This removed classic open conductor rails, cable friction or brush-contact systems, providing a wear-free, maintenance-free infrastructure.

CPS technology supports BSH’s Industry 4.0 vision thanks to its induction-based operation, absence of any speed limit, quiet structure and resistance to harsh factory conditions such as dust and moisture. BM Makina engineers managed end to end the installation of the primary cable along the line route, the equipping of the carrier carts with CPS-compatible pickups, and the integration of the power control units into the production automation. During commissioning, primary–secondary alignments, power settings and safety tests were completed, making the system operational without disrupting the production schedule. As a result, BSH gained a production line with almost zero maintenance cost, reduced downtime and increased speed flexibility; and BM Makina delivered a pioneering CPS application in the Turkish home-appliance industry.
