The BM Makina KATO MKT Motorized Wide Winding Cable Reeling Drum is a motor driven cable reeling system developed for the safe, tidy winding of long-distance, large cross-section power and control cables. The wide winding (multi-spiral) design lets the cable wind in multiple layers, so even long, heavy cables are stored on a compact drum. A brake motor, BM Makina’s proprietary magnetic coupling and a gearbox keep cable tension under control, while uninterrupted power and signal transmission is provided by the slip ring unit integrated into the drum hub.
