KATO YKT Spring Cable Reel

BM Makina KATO YKT Spring Cable Reels are cable management systems that automatically retract the power and control cables of mobile machinery using spring force. The strong spiral spring inside the drum rewinds the cable after use, which: prevents the cable from dragging, tangling and getting damaged on the floor; keeps the work area tidy and improves occupational safety; and extends cable life while lowering maintenance costs. With a steel body, high protection class (IP55) design, uninterrupted power and signal transmission via slip ring and spring-driven automatic winding, the KATO YKT series is a domestic, durable and economical solution for cranes, construction machinery, in-plant mobile systems, railway and port applications.

Spring-driven automatic winding: the internal spiral spring rewinds the cable after pay-out with no manual effort — the cable stays under controlled tension and never drags. Uninterrupted power and data via slip ring: power and control signals flow continuously while the drum rotates; 4A–200A current options and multi-contact ring choices carry both power and signal lines safely. Heavy-duty body, high IP protection: sheet steel body, hot-dip galvanized or industrially painted; IP55 options run reliably in dusty, humid, outdoor and heavy industrial conditions. Versatile mounting: wall, ceiling or floor; horizontal or vertical axis; 360° rotating designs let the cable wind neatly toward the pull direction, reducing kink and bending stress. Cable guiding and tidy winding: on wide drums the layers wind evenly without piling to one side, minimizing cable breakage and wear for long service life. Long-life spring mechanism: high-elasticity spring steels give long service; when maintenance is due, spring replacement and adjustment can be done even in the field thanks to the modular structure. Wide model and cable range: sizes cover light short-cable duties (10–15 m) up to heavy-duty types (40–60 m) across cable cross-sections, weights and current needs; above 60 m, BM Makina offers combined engineering with KATO motorized (MKT) drums.
