DEMYKS Lifting Jacks, part of the BM Makina Group, are produced in Türkiye and exported, prepared according to companies’ requests.
The BM Makina Group focuses mainly on the iron and steel, railway, port and maritime, automotive, home appliances and storage and racking sectors. This lets it closely analyze the needs of the sectors it serves and offer them suitable solutions. The underfloor train lifting system, realized for the first time in Türkiye by the BM Makina Group, is a project that emerged precisely from such a need. It was first implemented in 2013 together with its German partner at the Olimpiyatköy maintenance workshop of the Istanbul metro. Two years later, underfloor lifting systems were built at the Ümraniye maintenance workshop of the Istanbul metro. Explaining the details of the project, BM Makina Group General Manager Kenan Bebek said: “This system can be realized by only a handful of companies in the world, because it requires precise work underground. We are very happy to have realized the second of this system as well. Also, while the first system we built lifted a four-car set, in our most recent application we enabled the lifting of a six-car set. This means we realized a system about 1.5 times larger. Both systems continue to work without any problems. We are especially pleased about that too.”
Our Goal in Railway Projects Is Export
Bebek gave information about their goals: “We are a well-known company in the sector for maintenance-workshop lifting equipment. We aim to steadily increase our recognition. In addition, by closely following railway investments abroad, we aim to take important steps in the field of export.”
