VAHLE Shuttle Charging Systems
High Efficiency, Minimum Charging Time — shuttle warehouse systems stand out with high throughput rates and short access times. The flexible, efficient vehicles used in these systems carry a wide variety of loads and complete a high number of storage and retrieval operations in a short time. Driven by rising energy demands and powerful battery systems (ultracaps), leading manufacturers increasingly turn to point charging for the power supply. VAHLE responded by designing the Shuttle Charging System — unique on the market and developed specifically for shuttle applications. Thanks to its modular structure, different lengths and charging positions are configured with ease. With charging contacts smaller than a matchbox, the ultra-compact SLS integrates into the shuttle rail with minimal space. The Shuttle Charging System delivers high energy output and extremely fast charging. Charging stations can be installed in-aisle or at the end position, suitable for travel from both directions. So that shuttles can also draw power while moving, the contact area can optionally be extended into charging sections several metres long. Wear-resistant overrun elements ensure a long service life and reliable operation.
